Kwame Smith is the Field Operations Manager at GH Housing, where he oversees all on-site activities related to the development, construction, and maintenance of affordable housing projects. With over a decade of experience in the construction industry—and as the former CEO of a successful construction firm—Kwame brings a wealth of leadership, technical expertise, and operational insight to the nonprofit’s mission-driven work.

With a strong background in construction supervision and field logistics, working on $400 million dollar projects, Kwame ensures that every project is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

In his role, Kwame coordinates with all the sub-contractors, site supervisors, and vendors to ensure that timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements are met across all active development sites. His leadership in the field plays a critical role in keeping projects on track and aligned with GH Housing’s mission to provide secure, affordable housing to underserved communities.

Kwame is hands-on in monitoring day-to-day operations, conducting site inspections, resolving construction challenges, and ensuring that each project adheres to local building codes, safety protocols, and nonprofit guidelines. He also works closely with the development and operations teams to communicate field progress and support smooth transitions from construction to occupancy.
